Where it started

Hello and welcome to my travel blog journey as I navigate how this works, all while figuring out how to live in a van! I can't promise this will be a well organized and interesting blog, but I can promise to share my experiences and adventures candidly, mostly because I'm bad at editing photos and don't exactly grasp everything that is a blog.

I bought Darlene in the beginning of October and have spent the last few months getting her in shape to be a camper. I'm very lucky to have a dad who knows his way around carpentry and building what I envision, even if my visions are a pain in the a**. I also had the help of my uncle who fixed up my electrical system and gave me the dummies guide on how it all works. With their help, and to be honest majority of their doing, Darlene is ready to take me where I want to go, and that is everywhere!

Read along as I tour the West, starting with my first destination in Texas and going until I reach Wyoming, where I'll spend the summer working at a guest ranch. My plan is to drive through New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and finally Wyoming. After my season in Wyoming I'd like to spend time in Utah and Colorado. My rough itinerary is subject to shift and adjust, even while I'm on the road, but I always take suggestions and recommendations of cool places to see, things to do, and places to eat. So, feel free to send them my way!
